I laminated my brows too much.” Then there was another: “My name is Selena Gomez … see, it doesn’t even sound sexy.”

Also the same day, Bieber posted a TikTok featuring herself, Kendall Jenner and singer Justine Skye lip-syncing to the words “I’m not saying she deserved it, but I’m saying God’s timing is always right.” She later deleted the post, but others have since reposted it. Were they talking directly to Gomez? Some Very Online People seem to think so.
On Feb. 22, commenting on a video in which a TikTok user speculated that Kylie Jenner had thrown shade at Gomez, the youngest Kardashian-Jenner (allegedly) wrote, “this is reaching. no shade towards selena ever and i didn’t see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly.”
Gomez commented back (allegedly), “Agreed @kyliejenner. It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!” We say “allegedly” because last time we looked there were about 25,000 comments on the post. People had to quote yet another outlet to capture that last comment.

Are Hailey Bieber’s nails acrylic?
Despite their perfect almond shape, Hailey’s nails are actually created with UV-cured gel polishes. From what we can tell, she actually has her base coat and gel colors applied straight to her natural nails—with no added length.
Can you do Hailey Bieber nails with gel polish?
So, if you’re wondering if you can use gels to create Hailey’s glazed nails yourself, the answer is yes!
As mentioned, Hailey’s nail artist Zola actually uses UV/LED cured gel polishes to create her famous manicure. As far as we can tell, Hailey also doesn’t wear any extensions and has the gel applied onto her natural nails, though they are shaped into an almond style.
If you have short nails though or struggle to grow them to a length similar to Hailey’s, you can achieve the same look with gel extensions, BIAB and acrylics—though we would advise visiting your local nail tech for things like extensions, especially if you’re a beginner!

THE HAILEY BIEBER DIET
Like a lot of models, Hailey focuses on doing things that make her feel good. As she says herself: “Never go on the scale except for the doctor.”
This is a very healthy mindset to have and as I have mentioned before, the scale isn’t the best way to track your weight.
Hailey followed the Blood Type Diet which claims that “knowing your blood type is an important tool for understanding how your body reacts to food, your susceptibility to disease, your natural reaction to stress, and so much more.”
Besides Hailey, models like Miranda Kerr and Shanina Shaik also used to follow this diet.

WHAT HAILEY EATS AND WHAT SHE AVOIDS
Hailey said she struggles with low iron levels but I couldn’t find what her exact blood type is. But she did mention that she mainly eats poultry and fish so she might be type O.
Haley also said she actively avoids eating gluten and sugar. She believes it helps her maintain her ideal weight. But more importantly, avoiding those things completely has improved her overall health.
BREAKFAST
Hailey starts the day off by drinking a celery juice and taking vitamins after she’s eaten.
For breakfast, she likes to keep things simple and either goes with boiled eggs, homemade oatmeal, or a nutrient-dense smoothie.
No matter what she makes, she’s careful to avoid gluten and any foods she is sensitive to. And by making things at home herself, she’s able to control the ingredients completely.
LUNCH
For lunch, Hailey gets a bit more creative. She calls herself a foodie, so she likes a variety of things, though she still has a couple of favourites.
She loves to eat gluten-free pasta, chicken with veggies, or sushi.
She loves to eat large salads filled with fresh veggies. If she’s eating out, she does what she can to make sure the salads don’t have gluten at all.
That means checking to make sure the dressings are gluten-free and that croutons get left off of the greens. Her favourite is Caesar salad with kale.
On days when she’s on the go and working, she’ll get a sandwich with gluten-free bread.
DINNER
Like her other meals, throughout the day, Hailey likes to keep dinner simple. She still strives to avoid gluten and added sugars. But she also tries to vary things up.
Often, she’ll make a gluten free pasta with some sort of lean protein and plenty of vegetables. And even though she avoids processed sugar, she doesn’t avoid eating carbs.

What does Hailey Bieber use for her nails?
Hailey has previously revealed that her own nail artist, Zola Ganzorigt—who brought us the OG Glazed nails and every other variation since(we’re eternally grateful, Zola!)—mixes whatever her main shade is with a clear coat, to dilute the color, giving it that trademark ‘glaze’ look. If you’ve created your Hailey Bieber nails at home, Saffron has also shared some simple housekeeping tips to ensure that your new mani lasts.
Prep with white vinegar
Saffron first advises prepping your nails with white vinegar to remove any excess oil. Then before adding your basecoat, make sure your nails are completely dry, Saffron explains: «When nail polish is applied to wet nails, moisture is trapped. Once the nails begin to dry, the trapped moisture needs to escape so it begins to separate the polish from the nail, making them more susceptible to chips.»
Don’t over-do the nail polish remover
When it comes to removing your glazed nails, don’t use too much nail polish remover—and if you’re removing gel polish at home, don’t soak your fingers in an acetone-based remover for too long, as Saffron notes, «this can also weaken the nail plate over time.»
Reapply your top coat
In terms of keeping your manicure looking fresh, Saffron says: «A common misconception is that once you apply a topcoat, you’re good to go for the foreseeable future, however, this certainly isn’t the case.
«For the best results and chip prevention, you should reapply your topcoat every two to three days. Believe me when I say you’ll thank me!»
Treat chips asap
Speaking of chips, she also adds that as soon as you spot a chip, it’s damage control time—»The sooner you restore your nails, the longer-lasting they’ll be. Plus, we all know how tempting it is to further peel our nails once we spot that chip that annoys us throughout the day.
«So make sure to fix your chip as soon as you spot it by applying the same color in enough thin layers that it disappears before that all-important topcoat again.»
Avoid the cuticle at all costs
Another tip is to never paint your cuticles, as this ‘breaks the seal between your polish and nail’—meaning once your polish starts to peel, there’s no stopping it.

All of them have become popular on their social networks and, without a doubt, are the cause of the likes that the famous model has in each of its posts. Which of them do you like the most?
1. Nails almond al natural

“The chrome nail trend is the look of highly reflective chrome finishes on either the entire nail or used as an accent for nail art—think french tips with a chrome finish, or a minimal design with a chrome finish,” says Brittney Boyce, celebrity nail artist and founder of Nails of LA. “It looks very futuristic and cool on everyone, but can also be easily customized by pairing the effect with different base colors.”
If you like to take a minimalist approach with your mani, follow the lead of Bieber and the above look by incorporating the multi-dimensional finish with a neutral nail. “The difference between a chrome manicure and a metallic manicure lies in the texture,” Remark adds. “Metallic manicures usually come in deeply pearlized or foiled effects, whereas a chrome effect is a seamless mirror-like shine.” There’s no tangible glitter or pearly pieces, just a smooth, almost liquid shine.
The manicure has most often been spotted on rounded almond nails like Biebers, but Boyce says it takes on a new edge with more extreme lengths or shapes. “On long nails, it looks especially dynamic in an almond or coffin shape,” she adds.
Against a clean, white base coat, the chrome powder adds a super-glossy, ethereal finish. The subtle blue glow catches the light, appearing almost fluorescent at certain angles.

What was the fallout?
Gomez announced Feb. 23 that she was taking time off from social media. That was the same day she dethroned Kylie Jenner as the most followed woman on Instagram. Only soccer’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, plus Instagram itself, have more followers.

“I love who I am, and yeah, I’m going to be taking a second from social media ’cause this is a little silly,” Gomez told her fans. “And I’m 30, I’m too old for this. But I love you guys so much and I will see you guys sooner than later.”
On Feb. 28, DailyMail.com reported that Jenner had lost “an estimated one million followers” on Instagram in the wake of the (alleged) shade, dropping from 380 million to 379 million followers. By Monday, however, she had 380 million again. According to social media stats site Social Blade, she’s down about 129,000 followers in the last 30 days, during which time a lot more than EyebrowGate has happened.
To put that in numbers humans can understand, that’s like selling a Kylie Lip Kit for $32 for a while, only to wake up one day and find out it’s worth eight cents less. And then seeing a couple of days later that it’s worth $31.99 again. Traumatic.
